“Listen are you breathing just a little and calling it life” Mary Oliver
Hello wise friend,
I’m so pleased to be connecting with you again. You’ve been on my mind lots lately.
This year in Australia started off with stress and anxiety escalating, as our country burned. It was impossible not to feel the shock waves that filled our air. The relentless distress. Our nervous systems took a beating with the trauma of it all.
Australia is not alone. Stress and anxiety are rising everywhere on our precious planet. I must step up. Do more. Be of greater service to the global community with all the trainings, tools and practices I’ve gathered over the past 30 years. This is not a time to be passive.
So for the past 8 weeks I’ve been going inwards, holding the space and reflecting. Lots of tea and scones were involved! (You know me well).
Each day I sit in stillness, silence, journal, (sip chai tea) and bow my whole body to the earth, asking “Show me the way. What would you have me do now”. Gradually, drop by drop, my truth flowed. I’ve so much to share with you, but I shall do it in small doses. I’m still integrating it all.
At the moment, I’m in the process of writing an Anxiety Support Sheet. Actually more like 8 sheets but whose counting. It will be free of course. I’ve intentionally kept it small, after all too much choice can be stressful. It will highlight 5 small therapeutic rituals to take the edge off whatever you are going through. Each proven therapeutic ritual will be followed by personal notes from me – as if you were having a one on one calm energy session with me and relaxing at one of my slow rest retreats.
A releasing sigh is one of those rituals (read image above).
Breath and sound combined are a healing balm for your body. Sigh Therapy is especially helpful if you are feeling tense, tight and wired on the inside.
Each intentional releasing Sigh creates a little more space inside your deserving body. Space to breathe more deeply. Space for your organs to function optimally. Space to digest your thoughts. Space to move life through you. Two minutes of slow releasing sighs shifts your energy. Sends your body a different message. A, I’m going to keep you safe kinda message.
As other helpful tools, practices and support material becomes available I’ll let you know. Promise.
In the meantime you are welcome to click here and read my last four weeks of healing rituals or catch up with me on instagram where my focus is on creating a pocket of calm in your life.
Please know there is always a seed of healing within you.
Flow gently my friend xox
