How we start the morning matters.

As Louise Hay writes “How you start your day is how you live your day. How you live your day is how you live your life”.  

About 6 months ago I intuitively started a morning ritual of coconut oil (infused with two/three essential oils) gently massaged over my deserving body, aura and energy field. It’s been a life changing ritual.  Dare I say its a keeper!

The five minute self massage ritual speaks kindly to my fragile places. The hidden vulnerable parts of me needing extra support, comfort or a cloak of protection for the day ahead. 

I feel a deep sense of the medicinal aroma balancing that which is out of balance. 

I start the day a little more sure footed. Stronger in my skin. Grounded. Ready for what the day has to offer. 

I feel energetically well armoured.

The essential oils I choose, differ each day.  Sometimes I check in with my body.  Ask what she needs. Sometimes I close my eyes and reach into my essential oil bag and let the oils choose me.  

If you’re are wondering, I don’t particularly favour any brand of essential oil.  I go by feel and vibration of the oil. Organic where possible. 

At the moment I’m using mostly Neale’s Yard essential oils which I bought in London last year.  I am absolutely loving their exceptional quality and frequency.  I also have a little selection from Perfect Potion (Australia).  Thought I’d also mention that I’ve written about a couple of my favourite essential oils before.  Descend Inwards with Vetiver and Secret Language of Rosemary.

Oh, secret tip, the therapeutic benefits of essential oils are amplified when you intentionally connect with the essence of the oils. They are a living earth medicine energy.  Intention is everything.  Being present with the oils doctrine of signatures is paramount.  A little chat to the oils never goes astray.

Weekly Ritual – 2nd April 2018

~ Steady Yourself ~

You may be feeling lost in a cloud of change. A little battered and bruised by life. Wobbly under foot. 

You don’t need to try to figure it out right now.  It’s not that kind of moment.

You can however steady yourself, amongst the overwhelm of it all.

Your human body needs you. It trusts you to do the right thing in challenging uncertain times.  Soothe the frayed edges. And most importantly send a vibrational message of comfort and safety to your nervous system.

Your body deserves small devotional moments of self care.  The alchemy of warmed oil, infused with essential oils (juniper and cedarwood), gently stroked across your skin speaks kindly to the fragile places within you. Your frayed nervous system and auric field now coated in a protective aroma cloak of grounded calm.

My body is loving the following oils at the moment.

Geranium essential oil –  emotional balance –  stability – calming

Cedarwood – slows – grounds – anchor you into the earth –  calm strength.

Grapefruit – honouring your body – lightness of heart – bringer of joy

Juniper – protection – purification – cleansing
