“Sometimes all it takes is a 20 minute walk in nature to bring yourself back to you”
Hello wise friend.
Nature speaks in many languages. Offering endless remedies and medicine from her many kingdoms, plant, animal, mineral, light or elemental. Always unconditionally.
We simply need to pause, and feel into her wise ways. Ancient truths. One flower, one feather, one crystal, one beam of sunshine or one nature spirit at a time.
~ Stone medicine ~
Stones bring big calm. Fiercely soothing for stress and worry.
A wise stone once told me I could inhale deep stillness and comforting words anytime.
All I need do is hold a wild stone in the palm of my hands, close my eyes and breathe. A healing energy exchange and precious conversation would always be offered – no matter what my worry.
When was the last time you held a stone?
Exchanged energy with a stone.
Listened to the language of the stone.
Received healing and wisdom from a stone.
We can all do with a little stone medicine from time to time. Even if the message is simply a reminder to slow it down a notch, be still for a moment and rest here. I suspect “practice pausing” may be a stone mantra.
The picture of the stone (above) is extra special for me. It’s the stone Amrit and I welcomed into our retreat in England. I’m sure it chose us. The precious stone we passed around, to every gorgeous woman who sat in sacred circle. I can honestly say I have never experienced a stone that oozed such heat, healing and wisdom in my life.
Place your hand over the image of the stone, and I’m sure you’ll be able to receive the healing qualities from this stone – no matter where you live in the world.
~ Find a wild stone ~
Take a wander in nature. Along the beach. Into the woods. Find a wild stone. Untouched by human hands. A stone that has only ever known the pulse of the earth.
Let the stone or pebble find you. Size is not important. And there’s no rush. Your stone will find you, so keep your awareness open and expanded. Ask.
Once you’ve found your stone you may wish to hold in the cauldron of your palms. A simple reminder to start your day calm and grounded. Or perhaps you prefer to pop it into your pocket or under the pillow, or simply leave on your altar for when a little stone medicine is needed in your life.
May the stone medicine in you rise my friend, one pause, one breath and one healing ritual at a time. xox Carole

Thanks for the article!! I totally believe in the stone medicine. I carry such a stone. It is a piece of black tourmaline and it gives me peace.
Wonderful post! Thank you.
I love stones and, living near the ocean, there are always many stones coming home with us that then become spread across the house.
I use whichever stone speaks to me when I meditate and even have a stone I use to hold open my cookbook. It’s perfect. I plan on painting the chakra symbols on some stones and making my own runes too. Just need to set aside the time! 😉
I held my hand over your beautiful stone and felt the tingling I associate with universal energy entering my body. Lovely.
