“Sometimes all it takes is a 20 minute walk in nature to bring yourself back to you”.
Often the healing you need most, can be found in nature.
It’s true. Guidance and support weaves its way to you – patiently – through the many realms of nature. The birds, clouds, trees, wind, the moon or a random lone feather on the ground in front of you. We are all intimately connected.
You simply need to pause – notice – and listen. Nature speaks an authentic truth.
Stones for me, are soothing.
Reassuring in their presence. An ancient comfort.
When held in our hands, healing to the physical body and calming for the mind.
When was the last time you held a stone?
Exchanged energy with a stone. Listened to the language of the stone. Received healing and wisdom from the stone.
A wise stone (that now lives contently in my kitchen along with lots of others) once told me I could inhale her peaceful stillness and comforting thoughts anytime. All I need do was hold her in the palm of my hands, close my eyes and breathe. A healing energy exchange and precious conversation would always be offered – no matter what my worry.
We can all do with a little stone medicine from time to time. Even if the message is simply a reminder to slow it down a notch, be still for a moment and rest here.
The picture of the stone (above) is extra special for me. It’s the stone Amrit and I welcomed to our England Weekend Retreat. It’s our retreat stone. The precious stone we passed around, to every gorgeous woman who sat in our sacred circle. I can honestly say I have never experienced a stone that oozed such heat, healing and wisdom in my life.
Place your hand over the image of the stone now, and you’ll be able to receive the healing qualities from this stone – no matter where you live in the world.
Find a wild stone:
Take a wander in nature. Along the beach. Find a wild stone. Untouched by human hands. A stone that has only ever known the pulse of the earth.
Let the stone or pebble find you. Size is not important. And there’s no rush. Your stone will find you, so keep your awareness open and expanded.
Once you’ve found your stone you may wish to hold daily first thing in the morning, as a reminder to start your day calm and grounded. Or perhaps you prefer to pop it into your pocket or under the pillow, or simply leave on your altar for when a little stone medicine is needed in your life.
Please enjoy a little stone medicine today and do let know if you also happen to be a lover of stones and their healing energy.
I’d love to hear your story. xx Carole
