“Being gentle is an act of kindness towards yourself” Carole Fogarty
Imagine becoming the vibration of gentle. A state of being where you approached everything in your life with the essence of gentle.
You see gently, touch gently, smell gently, listen gently and taste gently. All your senses come alive and infused with the restorative energy of gentle.
I happen to believe that gentle is soothing to our nervous and immune system, deeply restorative and allows us all to experience and connect more intimately with what is happening both in and around us.
The magic of gentle:
Gentle slows us down. Gentle replenishes our energy levels. Gentle offers us space in-between our thoughts.
Gentle nourishes our mind with calm. Gentle releases stress and tension.
Gentle fuels our soul with a deep sense of inner peace. Gentle creates the space to invite more grace and magic into your life.
It all starts with a gentle breath:
Rest your left hand across your upper chest (just below your collar bones) and the other hand softly on your belly – this helps shift your awareness away from the outside world and back into your body.
Simply follow your breath. Feel the breath flow between both your hands. Notice how your breath becomes gentler and gentler (deeper and deeper) with each inhale and exhale.
Welcome gentle moments into your day:
You might consider starting your mornings gently. Wake gently, shower gently, dress gently and eat your breakfast gently.
Alternately you may wish to welcome gentle into your office. Sit gently, breath gently, read gently, answer the phone gently, sip your morning tea gently.
Give yourself permission to add more gentle moments into your day now.
