Rejuvenate Your Body:
Are you ready to give yourself permission, and upgrade your level of self care on a regular basis? I know I am. 2009 is going to be the year where I honor the importance of relaxation, deep rest and self care – even more.
As I’ve shared before, regular acts of kindness towards yourself, nourishes your well being at a very deep level. I truly believe that there is nothing more healing and rewarding than the act of deep rest and self care. All that is stale, old, stuck and unwanted will simply fall away when you release yourself from lifes pressures.
Here’s This Week Self Care Tips:
1: Put yourself on your daily “to-do” list:
One day earlier this year it suddenly dawned on me that I never included myself on my daily “to-do” list. The list was all about giving, doing and achieving and absolutely nothing about receiving, relaxing or nurturing. You may wish to do the same and put yourself smack bang on the top of your daily “to-do” list. It’s the perfect way for you to upgrade your level of self care.
2: Stop multi tasking whilst eating and drinking:
Mindless eating on the run greatly effects your overall well being. If you’re needing more vitality then let your body extract maximum nutrition and energy from your food by eating mindfully in a peaceful environment. No distractions, no walking, no TV, no work, no excess stimulation, stress, multi tasking or anything that may draw your focus and energies away from enjoying and digesting your food. Make a point to consciously taste and eat your meals in a calm space.
3: Which of your belongings stress you out?
Your living environment has a huge impact on the flow and well being of your life. A cluttered, congested home can drain and deplete your energy the very moment you get out of bed. Lighten your load in life by removing or fixing those belongings which cause you to worry or stress each time you think of them. If you have a problem with clutter then you may also like to read the emotional cost of clutter.
I can personally share with you from years of experience as a Feng Shui practitioner that removing old, unwanted, broken, unused, doesn’t fit, expired stuff from your home will instantly boost your energy levels. You’ll feel a weight has been lifted off your shoulders. Now that’s an awesome way to upgrade your level of self care.

Really great article. I love the “put yourself on your to do list” part. So many of us put everyone first and completely forget to show ourselves a lil TLC.
