WOW! I just came across a link to "Anywhere, Anytime" and your Site from arthritistoday.org. What a great thing!!! I would really like to have a copy. I maintain a major NASA facility in South Mississippi where we test rocket engines. It's VERY stressful. I can use ALL the help I can get! Keep up the great work.

Well, I'm not sure if this is a thoughtful comment but I could REALLY make use of a book like this. I sooooo need to learn ways to chill. Particularly at the moment. :)

Just reading your interview with Kate (I'm a little behind in my reader at the moment). Great stuff!!!

I woke up this morning already stressed out of my mind (literally, I could not clear my mind during my meditation), and your post this morning just cleared it all away! Your posts are such a great way to start the day!!

Thank you!

Carol, thank you so much for the introduction to Kate and her book! After reading this little interview, I popped over to her website, watched her web clips, read some of her body and soul articles, and signed up for her newsletter. Looking forward to her little tips to bring relaxation into my daily life, and as a new reader to your blog, enjoying your tips as well!

Peace, H.

p.s. if I should be so lucky, would love me some 'chill guide' for the bedside table!

If you are O.K. with shipping to the States, I could really use that book for my youngest sister. By her own admission, she is "terrible" at relaxation. Recently, when she was under a lot of stress, I talked her through a guided meditation on the phone. I spoke slowly, soothingly, and thought I had brought her to a place of serene relaxation, when she suddenly said: "This isn't working." ;-) I laughed, and said, "O.K., let's try this again..."

As for me, I've made use of many of your relaxation and de-stressing tips since I started reading your blog. The one on using black tourmaline and smoky quartz to diffuse negativity really helped when I was dealing with a really, um, negative coworker a couple of weeks ago. I often hold one or both of these stones when I'm lying in bed unwinding to go to sleep. Anyway, thanks so much for providing a resource for peace and self-care!

I have used #5 for many years. It was originally introduced to me by a friend who suggested it as a remedy for an upset stomach. I haven't tried it on a headache, but I'm going to.

I'm interested in the "saying no" pose. I'm a lot better than I used to be, but like most women... I feel like a meanie saying no. It's really
something I've been working on. Secretly, no is my favorite word lol.

Carole, the breathing techniques you Twitter about have really saved me time and time again. The reminders always seem to come at an opportune time.

I've trained myself that if Carole says to spend a couple of minutes on my breathing - I just stop what I'm doing and do it right then. I've never been sorry.
