With only 26 days until Christmas how would you rate your energy and stress levels today?

Christmas Aussie style:

This is your weekly Christmas energy alert reminding you to be a little bit clever this year by being mindful and kinder to your energy and stress levels.

This weeks energy rescue tip is all about you being gentle whilst involved in whatever activity you are doing. You simply need to ask yourself two questions:

Am I reading this article gently?

and

What would it feel and look like if I was to read this article more gently?

Approaching any task with the awareness of doing it more gently offers you many wonderful healthy living rewards. You feel lighter, softer, more relaxed, calmer, clearer, more present, feel less stress and definitely not wasting energy unnecessarily.

I guarantee by asking yourself these two simple questions throughout your day you will be totally surprised at just how many times you approach the simplest of tasks under a hurried, stressful or anxious conditions. If you are keen to have more energy, live lightly and dissolve your attachments to stress then this is one of the simplest little healthy living rituals you can add to your personal well being tool box. You can do it anywhere, anytime, even now.

Try it when you are having your next cup of tea and ask yourself how could I feel gentler while drinking my cup of tea?

Your answers might be; I wouldn’t be reading the newspaper, the muscles in my cheeks, head and face would be more relaxed, I’d be sitting down instead of standing up, I wouldn’t be sitting in front of my computer, I’d be actually focusing on the taste and enjoyment of the tea and not about what I need to do next, I’d release a bit of tension being held in my neck and around my buttocks or I’d soften my thoughts.

Christmas Energy Rescue Tip Two:

Following are just a few of the occasions throughout your day when you could observe yourself:

  • Am I able to think more gently right now?
  • Am I able to eat my meals more gently?
  • Am I am to speak to my children more gently?
  • Am I able to shop more gently?
  • Am I able to work on the computer more gently?
  • Am I able to get the kids off to school more gently?
