Me and My Blog:

After two months or so of hanging out with my blog, having lots of fun with early morning get togethers, a few secret late night rendezvous’ and sharing numerous chai teas our relationship is now ready to be taken to the next level.

Blog and I had a little chat which I felt went very well and now its time to cement our relationship even more. The result, some very new and very exciting regular weekly features.

Whilst I’m excited I’m still a little nervous but as I discussed with my blog I’m willing to give it a go. We seem to be getting on extremely well as long as he gives me my space and a bit of flexibility and lets me travel overseas a lot then I’m happy.

The following is our new vision together for a more permanent and deeply satisfying relationship. You can expect weekly and monthly themed articles to give flow, rhythm, consistency and a definite holistic well being flavour to The Healthy Living Lounge.

A regular WEEKLY feature: De-stress and detox your world

Eliminate, simplify, slow up and live life lightly. What more can I say you deserve a weekly reminder on the countless ways you can de-stress and detox your life emotionally, physically, soulfully and environmentally – one simple step at a time.

A regular WEEKLY feature: Comfort on the go

It’s a weekly reminder to rejuvenate, nourish and refuel your energy levels. Weave regular moments of comfort on the go into your day.

I’ll get you into the awesome habit of turning your (sometimes stuck) internal switch from send mode across to receiving mode in no time.

Comfort on the go is all about focusing on reclaiming some much needed balance into your life.

A regular WEEKLY feature: Natural wisdoms

Natural remedies, vibrational healing modalities, flower essences, herbal tonics, essential oils, oracle cards, yoga, mudra’s, homeopathy, meditation and the list goes on. I’ll reveal my 20 years of going along the alternate, natural, organic, metaphysical path also sharing my new discoveries along the way.

A regular WEEKLY feature: Moments of inspiration

This is when I am allowed to share whatever inspirational moments are calling me at the time. Blog says he is very happy to get up at 3.00 am if that’s when the inspiration hits me. Isn’t blog wonderful! This weekly feature gives me a much needed escape clause if the topic I want to write does not snuggly fit into any of the above. It may be a book or a travel adventure like my upcoming trips to Melbourne, Sydney and Bali. It will always be inspirational and hopefully speak to a quiet corner of your soul that is waiting for the right moment.

A regular MONTHLY feature: I dare you to do something different

Some months I may even double dare you to do something really, really, really different. The dares are equally for me as they are for you. The only difference is you will know exactly what I will be daring to do differently in my life each month. Blog and I will have to wait to hear all about yours.

Blog and I keen to create a new circle of friends and develop a real sense of community for our valued readers. We promise we will always listen to your feedback and provide awesome content that is relevant and inspirational to you.

The prenuptial agreement between my blog and myself:

  • There are no particular days these weekly features will appear. It’s part of our agreement. I need a bit of creative flexibility. If the inspiration is there I have to be able to write about it. They will however be between Monday and Friday (in Australia)

  • My blog insists on a four days a week. That’s fine with me. Creates a lovely balance between my writing, family and daily pleasures.

  • I’m allowed to take holidays and spend time with my children when they need me. Blog happy for me to do this, no pressure and promises to look after all visitors attentively whilst I’m away. Gosh blog you are amazing.

  • Financial arrangements are left totally up to the blog. I handle the writing and he will handle the income. We feel if the quality of content is there the regular readers, visitors and travelers will come.

  • We are committed to a long, healthy and deeply rewarding journey in the blogging world

  • We agree that if the fun, excitement, creativity and inspiration starts to wane then we will spend some time away from each other refresh and awaken our creative juices so the quality never slips.

So now I have a few questions for you:

“Do you have a prenuptial agreement between you and your blog?”

“Is your blog a he or a she?” I assumed my blog was a she but when writing this article it turns out blog is a he.

“Do you have a nick name for your blog”

Thanks for reading this article and allowing to me share our very personal prenuptial agreement with you.

Well my blog is called ‘picklemum’ which is a term of endearment in our house, but also a description for stupidity so it seems to fit the blog quite well. I think she is a she but I can’t be sure on that.. she/he seems to have a split personality and has metamorphosed a lot since I first started and will hopefully have another big change and grow again really soon…

Looking forward to your changes too!

I don’t have any official agreements but if I don’t publish one post per day Monday - Friday, I tend to get in trouble.

I just love it Carole. I was about to give The Abundance Highway a more defined focus and have a new suziecheel.com blog for ramblings, art, travel etc. I was about to work on it when Des said just wait until after Blog World, that will no doubt give you new ideas etc.

I love what you have done, there is flexibility and freedom.
    So inspiring

So… a pre-nup! Hmmmmm… something to think about here. I refer to my blog as the Bzzter and he is a HE for sure as we don’t always agree on changes that I would like to make. Perhaps it is high time that we sat down for a heart to heart and come up some new negotiation talks. I was thinking of a new theme, make him a little more simplified and user friendly… if you know what I mean ;) Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for a new look and feel.

Off to the drawing board Bzzter… we have a lot to do!!
