Is your blogging work space with YOU or against YOU?

Natural Wisdoms: A weekly feature:
Yes, it’s true the atmosphere, energy or vibe in your blogging environment (or work space) directly affects your energy levels, thoughts, emotions, behavior, creativity, productivity and definitely overall success.
Your body is an extremely intelligent field of information that perceives “the energy” in any room, space, home, office or shop in an instant.
Think back to when you bought or rented your last home, “Do you remember how it felt as soon as you walked in? You more than likely said yes, this place “feels right” or no, this place doesn’t “feel right”. There was no perceived logic involved simply a feeling that you were sensing.
Your blogging creativity and productivity is closely linked to what your senses are being fed moment by moment via the energy filling your blogging work space.
Perhaps you hadn’t even realized there was a connection to your blogging success and how your blogging work space actually feels.
Start right now by closing your eyes and becoming aware of just how the space around you actually makes you feel. Do you feel relaxed and comfortable or restless and agitated or even just plain flat? Do you feel creative and inspired or foggy and drained?
The great news is I have hundreds of case studies that reveal what improves the “feeling” in any work space environment. For many years I taught students and practitioners the ancient art of Feng Shui and it is from these experiences that I have created a three part series on the most effective solutions that can definitely transform the way your blogging work space feels. You can adjust the energies around you subtly to give you an extra boost or you can totally transform the space around you benefiting enormously from the cleansing and uplifting effects.
Are you working twice as hard unnecessarily?
Your mind receives information from which your body has sensed and you respond accordingly.
If the energies that you are absorbing and interacting with when writing, researching and working are heavy, imbalanced, negative, confused, tangled, rushing or toxic then you will need to spend twice as much time AND twice as much energy to achieve the same results you intended in the first place. Your results and productivity will definitely be hindered.
When you sit down at your blogging space does it?:
- Uplift your energies in an instant
- Energizes you; you feel fabulous and enthused
- Makes you feel automatically relaxed yet focused and clear
- Makes the body feel comfortable allowing you to work with a productive yet balanced rhythm (this is important)
- Energizes your being with passion and creativity
- Balances your emotions
- Allows you to stay on track with minimal distractions
- Constantly flows positive and inspirational thoughts your way
All of the above outcomes are associated with a blogging work space that feels right and is working with YOU.
Some symptoms of a blogging space that doesn’t
feel right and one that is working against YOU:
- Feeling restless, unable to focus, you keep getting up all the time (and its not the kids)
- Feel drained easily for no apparent reason
- Foggy thinking, can’t decide or easily distracted
- Make lots of mistakes, more foggy thinking
- Frustration, nothing is working out right, you are suddenly sending bad vibes to your computer and work space and this cycle is repeated.
- A feeling that the world is working against you and not with you
Intimately nourish your senses so you feel fabulous:
When you feel fabulous you are creative, productive, overcome obstacles and setbacks with ease. Your blogging life simply flows. Yeah!
A great place to start shifting the energies around you is to personalize your blogging space so it intimately nourishes all your five senses.
Imagine how inspirational your blogs will be when you are visually nourished and stimulated, your hearing is nourished and stimulated, your sense of smell, taste and touch are nourished and stimulated.
Smell:
Add aroma’s to your blogging space that will make you feel great in an instant. It could be smells that remind you of a holiday, flowers or herbs you adore, essential oils that you love or even bowls of fresh fruit. I am referring to natural smells of course and not artificial air fresheners. For me personally I burn essential oils, sometimes white organic sage and other times incense. The incense I generally burn outside the window of my office space. It reminds me of so much of Bali and I love
Sight:
What one image can you add right now that brings inspiration and uplifting energies to your being? For me personally I have a carved wooden Buddha which I bought in
Sound:
Add pleasing sounds that create the type of atmosphere that you are comfortable to write and work in. It can be music, mantras, wind chimes, birds, sounds of nature or beautiful stillness. I tend to change the sounds around me on a daily basis depending on the energy I wish to infuse into my blogs. Sound is one of the most potent ways you can shift the energy, mood and atmosphere in any space.
Touch:
Touch is important. It wasn’t until my son bought a new flash keyboard and mouse that I realized how uncomfortable my previous ones were. Allow your fingers and hands to feel pleasure and joy as they create your blogging articles. If you are a particularly touchy feely person then add an object near your computer that you can touch to bring balance and harmony back into your body. It may be some tai chi relaxation balls, stress balls, a crystal, or a shell from the beach.
Another consideration is how your clothes make you feel. Are they itchy, too tight, too loose, too uncomfortable, too cold, too hot or synthetic and static? Your skin must feel comfortable so full attention and energy be focused on your article and not be distracted by uncomfortable clothes. Perhaps naked is the way to go.
Taste:
Having unpleasant tastes in your mouth or being thirsty while you blog can distract your energies. Notice right now the tastes or sensations in your mouth. Do they hold memories of the glorious cup of coffee you just had or is it thirsty for water or craving for something sweet. Cravings and thirst can be big energy drains and distractions. Make sure you are hydrated and nourished when writing and working.
Remember god gave you five senses so use
them to your advantage when blogging.
As an extra bonus I have a free e-book called Aromatherapy in the Workplace by Life Balancing Expert Jennifer Jefferies which I am happy to pass onto you. Please email me at healthlivinglounge@gmail.com for a free copy. I know Jennifer personally and can highly recommend this e-book there are many great practical essential oil recipes for any kind of mood, emotion and work environment.
